JAVON FRANKLIN, CPA

 

Javon Franklin has a passion for helping small business owners and individuals manage and grow their financial well-being.  Her mission is to help educate the people in her community to make financially literate decisions with their fiances. With a strong background in accounting, tax  and financial education, I decided to start Franklin Financial to provide these services to individuals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses owners with the accounting services they need. Javon provides her clients with expert advice, professionalism, responsiveness and a peace of mind.

Javon obtained Bachelor degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. She also graduated with minors in Finance and Management. She was the first college graduate of her immediate  family.

 

Javon has spent the majority of her accounting career as an auditor. She worked at the Louisiana Department of Revenue for 5 years auditing small businesses and individuals in Orleans parish and its surrounding areas. She also worked as an auditor with Postlethwaite & Netterville, a local CPA firm. Javon currently works as the Assistant Controller for a non-profit in New Orleans, LA. During her time working as an auditor for the state of Louisiana, she noticed small business owners could use assistance with their bookkeeping and other accounting related issues. This prompted her to sit for the CPA exam to become a Certified Public Accountant. She wanted to be sure the information and advice given to the business owners came from well-informed source.
